SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE
Y before-and after-school programs serve children from age 5-12 in an enriching child-focused, child-directed environment that promotes the exploration of their interests and talents. The Y focuses programming on research-based approaches to social-emotional growth and development in children. Our programs work closely with area school districts to support children’s achievement.
For more information, please visit our school-age parent handbook at the link to the right.
Our programs offer a wide variety of activities through our theme-based curriculum, with a focus on homework help, health & wellness, active games & sports, creative arts, drama & language, and science & cooking.
The South Sound YMCA has partnered with the Child Care Aware of America to provide an Army fee-assistance program to families utilizing our care. For more information please visit their website at childcareaware.org. For current military provider numbers, please visit our school location page for school-age childcare or the early learning center page for ages 1-5 childcare.
