EDUCATION & LEADERSHIP
CHESS CLUB
This program is designed not only to teach the game of chess but will also teach respect and how to play with honesty. All levels of players are welcome!
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM
This new and innovative after-school program, sponsored by the South Sound YMCA, Tumwater School District, and Together, will focus on developing strong teens. Students will have opportunities to belong, achieve, and build relationships in a safe and fun environment. Participants will get snacks, homework help, engage in sports, arts, music, dance, team building, and other enrichment activities.
YOUTH & GOVERNMENT
We offer opportunities for teens to get involved in their communities and learn how to make their voices heard about issues that are important to them. Teens gain an understanding of our democratic system by participating in a mock Senate. They will gain confidence and social skills through challenging debates, bill writing, and campaigning in this incredible program.
PERFORMING ARTS
PRE-BALLET/BALLET
Experience the joy of dance while fostering natural creativity and building an excellent foundation for formal training. We will teach the fundamentals of shape, line, form, and rhythm. Dancers will gain body awareness, strength, balance, coordination, and self-esteem.

Our focus is on allowing your children to develop their spirit, mind, and body through our encouraging, non-intimidating, and family friendly environment. Our instructors are among the best in their respective martial art and will ensure that your child learns the value of hard work, discipline, honor, integrity, and respect for themselves and others.

YOUTH CLIMBING CLASS
This class covers the basic ideas of indoor and outdoor climbing. Increase strength, endurance, and confidence. Climbing provides a fun, full-body workout that combines precision, grace, and strength.
Exercise Principals for Youth - 101
You must be at least 14 years of age to have full access to the Fitness Center
Youth ages 8-13 have limited access to the Fitness Center
- Youth 8-13 can use the CARDIO EQUIPMENT ONLY, but must be actively supervised by parent or guardian and meet the equipment height requirements.
- Youth 10-13 MUST register for and complete the Exercise Principles for Youth - 101 in order to use the strength machines and equipment. They must also be accompanied by parent or guardian.
