You Can Change the Life of a Child

We believe that every child deserves the experience of YMCA programs and child care, regardless of the financial difficulties that their family might be facing.

In 2008, your YMCA provided over $800,000 in financial assistance to 7,376 individuals in our community. This year, more families than ever need your help. Please consider a generous contribution and help your YMCA change lives.

Donations can be sent to South Sound YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, 1530 Yelm Highway SE, Olympia, WA 98501. You can also make a pledge to be paid at a later date, just send us a note with your intentions. Click here for
more information.

volunteers_150_01Volunteer Opportunities

The South Sound YMCA has tons of opportunities for individuals who are interested in volunteering their time and talent. We have listed a couple, but if you are interested in helping and do not see your expertise listed, please contact either branch, and we will get you connected.

  • Volunteer Coaches Needed - If you are interested in helping in the life of a child, coaching is a good way to do so. Volunteer coaches are needed for both late spring youth golf and Itty-Bitty soccer. Please contact Beth Daniel for more information at 360-357-6609 or danielb@ssymca.net.

  • Youth Fitness Room – This is a great way to earn volunteer hours for high school. Please contact Shilpa Johnson for more information at johnsons@ssymca.net.
