Teen & Adult Swimming Lessons
We also offer lessons geared for teens and adults. Beginner classes provide an introduction to the water, basic skills, and water safety. Intermediate classes are for the swimmer that is looking for help developing their stroke and working on endurance. Advanced classes are designed for swimmers who are or want to become competitive. Adult Swim Lessons All-inclusive class for adults at beginner to intermediate skill level. Students work with instructors to set personal goals and achieve them. Briggs Community YMCA Masters Swim 18 years and older - The program (BYMS) is registered with United States Masters Swimming (USMS). Individual participation in the USMS program is optional, and fees are paid by individual participant. Swimmers are challenged to become competitive in butterfly, backstroke, breastroke, and freestyle. This program incorporates training for triathletes wanting to improve the swim portion of their sport and provides challenging workouts for the skilled swimmer. Coach Mel Smith brings over 20 years of coaching experience at various levels of competitive swimming and continues to compete at the Masters level.
