Synchronized Swimming The South Sound YMCA Synchronized Swimming program components include swimming skill development, personal safety, and personal growth. The program objectives are to develop watermanship (body control, agility, breath control, endurance, and so on,) to enable participants to swim with others to a rhythmic accompaniment, and to provide an arena for creative expression and performance. In order to stimulate creative thinking, students should be encouraged to choreograph and perform simple routines.
