Youth Fitness

In our efforts to make fitness FUN, the Briggs Community Branch recently opened a Youth Fitness Room outfitted with video interactive exercise equipment. We have game bikes, exerstations, Dance-Dance Revolution, Wii, and much more! While you’re checking out the room, sign up for Youth Muscle Work – a great youth fitness program that focuses on strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance.

In addition to the game room, the Briggs YMCA has an indoor climbing wall and also provides climbing classes in which you can learn basic climbing commands, climbing safety, and knots. Click here for Climbing Wall hours.

School Year Hours:
Monday - Friday 3:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sundays Noon to 5:00 p.m.

Summer Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sundays Noon to 5:00 p.m.

Olympia Downtown Branch

At the Olympia Downtown Branch, youth can enroll in our Youth Strength Training program. This program is designed to help youth achieve fitness and health awareness at an early age. This new strength training program not only helps youth develop physically but also socially, in a safe, friendly, and encouraging setting.

In addition to Youth Strength Training, the Downtown YMCA offers a tumbling class for youth ages 3-10 years of age every Friday at 3:15 p.m. Come learn basic tumbling skills in a fun, supportive environment and you will improve your balance, strength, and flexibility.
